Morning Devotion 1-16-09

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee and will look up.-Psalm 5:3
Good morning, Lord. Thank you for the gift of life and thank you for waking me up this morning to enjoy it. I raise your name in praise for keeping me in my right mind so that I can continue to make right decisions based on my faith in you.
I appreciate the family into which you placed me at birth and bless your name for all the members who have joined this family since I arrived. I am grateful that in those 52 years, no one has left us through divorce or suicide or any unnatural means. That is a huge blessing today.
For the families I joined through marriage and through your salvation, I dance joyfully with my feet and in my soul, not because any of us are perfect, but because the opportunities for giving and receiving love are so great and knowing you as the source of that love are so wonderful.
In Jesus' name I pray and in His name I thank you always. Amen.

This verse is always a prayer to me every morning...thanks for sharing.
This was beautiful, and a wonderful reminder to thank the Lord when we wake up, and to shake off the dust that can accumulate in our lives.
