Yesterday I awoke to find that I had 1,000 followers on Twitter. Mind you, I got my following the old-fashioned way--organically (one at a time)--and not via any sleazy, highly aggravating Twitter-centric spamming scheme. Just sayin'.

Frankly, I've been pushing back the milestone for weeks by blocking anyone who remotely looked like a spammer to me. The idea of trying to maintain some semblance of an online relationship with 1,000 people cows me a little. I mean, what's the point in this following thing if we don't at least attempt to know each other?

Anyway, now that I have the attention of so many Twitterers (sleep-deprived and sporadic as it may), what shall I do so that you can celebrate with me?

As promised many months ago, I'm planning a gift for all, to be announced tomorrow. Stay tuned.
